I am here to tell you that if you really want to do something to help others, never give up. I have wanted to work as an author and help educate people since I was a little girl. Keep trying, keep working hard, put in the extra effort, and pray that God will guide your decisions. If something is on your heart, listen to it. Be encouraged and do the hard work to make your dreams reality.
I was one of six kids in my family. My parents weren’t going to be able to pay for me to go to college but I really wanted to be a teacher. I studied hard and worked to save money and earned scholarships to go to college. Majoring in Elementary Education, with endorsements in Early Childhood, ESL, Bilingual Education, and later Middle School Language Arts, I took my education and career very seriously and graduated top in my class. I later earned my Master of Arts in Teaching/Teacher Leadership. I wanted to be the best and help strengthen teacher leadership and best teaching practices. I still do.
I was recruited and landed a position as a Bilingual teacher right out of college. I have spent the last 17 years teaching, training, writing, and designing educational workshops for students, teachers, parents, and families.
I pray my books will allow me to connect with many people all over the world and be a source of inspiration, coversations, and allow people to be encouraged; knowing God loves them. Whatever is on your heart to do that is good for you and the world, share that light.
